Why we require buyers to be at least 21, and how we enforce it.

This restriction reflects the regulatory framing of research-use-only laboratory materials and aligns with the broader posture that the contents of this site are intended for qualified researchers, not consumers.

How we verify age

On first visit to the site, every user is presented with a modal age and research-use confirmation that requires affirmative acknowledgment that they are at least 21 years of age and accept the Research-Use-Only Disclaimer. A cookie records the acknowledgment for 30 days.

Institutional buyers

Buyers applying for a wholesale or institutional account may be asked to provide additional verification of their researcher status (institutional email, institution name, PI contact).

Misrepresentation

Misrepresenting your age or research-use status to obtain product is grounds for immediate cancellation of any pending order and for permanent ban of the user account associated with the misrepresentation.
